Daichi's wife passed away many years ago, leaving him with his two daughters, Kaede and Sayaka. He's incredibly wealthy and leaves most of their raising to the maids. Now he has learned that he's dying soon and wishes to use the time he's got left to be with his daughters. However, after he breaks his promise to his younger daughter, Sayaka, she yells at him how she wishes he was dead and his eldest daughter, Kaede tells him she's in love with a boy at school.
